Blueberry French 75

Craving a sophisticated twist on a classic? Look no further! Made with fresh blueberries into a blueberry homemade syrup for this recipe and it’s so good to use in other drinks as well once made.

What you will need:


Cocktail Shaker

Jigger or shot glass

Small Pot

Strainer


Blueberry Syrup:

  • 1 small container (about 12-16 oz) fresh blueberries (muddled)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup water

Cocktail:

  • About 3 oz or 1/3 of your glass: Homemade Blueberry Syrup

  • Fill the rest of your glass with Champagne or Prosecco

Garnishes:

  • Thyme

  • Blueberries

Directions:

  1. Start w/Blueberry Simple Syrup recipe:

    1. In a small pot add the following:

      1. Small container (about 12-16 oz) fresh blueberries (muddled), 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup water

      2. Bring to a simmer over low-medium heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved

      3. Let cool and then strain mixture into a container and store in fridge. Lasts about 1-2 weeks in fridge

  2. Blueberry French 75 cocktail

    1. Add in a shaker the following: 1 oz Gin, 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1/2 oz blueberry simple syrup (if you like it on the sweeter side add more syrup to your liking)

    2. Shake it up

    3. Pour into glass

    4. Top the rest with Champagne or Prosecco
