Hibiscus Mezcal Margarita

Hibiscus Mezcal Margarita Recipe:

Ingredients

What you will need:

Jigger or shot glass

Cocktail Glass


Cocktail:

  • 2 ounces Mezcal (https://amzn.to/3G7iBpk)

  • 1 ounce Hibiscus Simple Syrup (details to make this below)

  • 1.5 ounces fresh squeezed lime juice

Garnishes:

  • Lime wheel & dried hibiscus flowers

Directions:

  1. Hibiscus Simple Syrup: In a pot add 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 2 hibiscus super flower tea bags or 1/2 cup dried hibiscus tea flowers. bring to a boil and then turn down the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Take the pot off the heat and let it cool. You can save the remainder for up to 2-3 weeks in the fridge and use it for other drinks.

  2. In a shaker with ice, add 2 ounces of mezcal, 1 ounce of Hibiscus Simple Syrup, and 1.5 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice.

  3. Shake it up!

  4. Add 1 large square ice cube to the glass, then pour the cocktail over it into your glass.

  5. Garnish with a lime wheel and a few dried hibiscus flowers

  6. Cheers, sip, and enjoy!
