This delicious cocktail creation is a unique blend of fresh kumquat, honey, and thyme. Made with whiskey and garnished with a sprig of thyme and a slice of kumquat, this cocktail is a perfect balance of sweet and tart. "Thyme for a Whiskey Kumquat," Recipe:
Ingredients:

What you will need:
Cocktail Shaker
Jigger or shot glass
Lemon/Lime Juicer
Muddler
Cocktail Strainer
Cocktail:
1/4th Cup Kumquats cut in halves
2-3 Thyme Sprigs
1 ounce Honey
1 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
2 ounces Whiskey
1 Egg White
Pastry brush or Silicone Basting Brush
Garnishes:
Himalayan Sea Salt, Thyme leaves, Thyme Sprigs, Kumquat
Directions:
In a shaker add: 1/4 cup of Kumquats sliced in halves, 2-3 Thyme Sprigs, and 1 ounce Honey.
Muddle these all together in the bottom of shaker.
Then, add in 1 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice, and 2 ounces of Whiskey.
Shake it up
With a strainer pour the cocktail into a cup, and remove the residue of kumquats and thyme sprigs from your shaker. Add the drink back in your shaker.
Add into the shaker 1 egg white and do a dry shake (no ice)
Then, add in Ice, shake it all up again
Take your glass and dip your brush into honey and paint it on the side of your glass
On a plate pour Himalayan sea salt and Thyme leaves, mix together
Take the honey coated side of your glass and roll it gently over the Salt & Thyme mixture.
Pour cocktail into glass
Garnish with Thyme Sprigs and a Kumquat slice
